So, here’s my thought on the decision of F.B.I. Director Comey. While he did confirm that she had lied about some classified info in her email, and that she was grossly negligent (this should have gotten her the indictment, but didn’t), and that she is extremely careless … according to him … it was at his “discretion” not … to indict her. I am as mad as everyone (who cares about this country). But after I calmed down, I stopped to consider the ramifications if she was indicted.
Yes, she would have to step out of the election and then there would be more taxpayer money spent on her trial. So, the only good I see in her indictment is that she would not have been able to run for the Presidency. And, some would have felt … vindicated. Perhaps, some of our “faith” in the government process would have been vindicated. Perhaps.
I actually think that this decision … in the long run … will work in favor of those who oppose her, and want Trump to win this election.
If she stepped down now, there is a very good chance that “Uncle” Joe Biden would have stepped in. There is also the chance that Elizabeth Warren might have been selected as V.P.
While “Uncle” Joe is considered by some as a likeable “bungler” of sorts, he does not carry the decades-long baggage of Hillary Clinton. Elizabeth Warren echoes many of the same sentiments as Bernie Sanders and would have gotten the vote from the Sanders people who may have voted for Trump out of sheer hatred for H. Clinton.
I frankly believe that Donald Trump has a better chance of beating Hillary than he would a Biden/Warren ticket. We would then have a third term of Obama, and … we could say “bye-bye” to our Republic of America.
So, does the “Comey decision” make many people angry and confirm our distrust of our government officials? I would say it absolutely does. I believe that the “fix” was in. I believe this decision was based on bribes, greed and corruption. I believe that the F.B.I Director was wrong. I believe that AG Loretta Lynch will remember, fondly, her “chance meeting” with Bill Clinton.
However … I also believe if the American people will make sure that Hillary Clinton’s scandals … all of them … are brought to the forefront of the general election … and kept there, and that if we NEVER say … “it’s time to move on” … that we can continue to chip away at the corrupt, soulless, character of this vile, contemptible woman … and Donald Trump can win this election.
Then, and only then, will we have the opportunity to bring back the values that once made this country great. I sincerely believe that the odds for Trump to beat Hillary Clinton just went up.
So, while many of us are feeling blue and seeing red, because Hillary Clinton won’t be wearing orange … this may actually turn out to be what wins Trump the election in November.
