OBAMA SANCTIONS; TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE, SO HYPOCRITICAL

I am no fan of Putin (although he did make Obama look like a wus), and I do agree that there are, more than likely, many reason for sanctions against Russia. But … as far as Russia interfering with this election … where is the proof? In the eight years that Obama has had to retaliate against Russia … he chooses now … and … something with no concrete evidence? (And, really … the “sanctions” are pretty lame.) Actually, about as lame as Obama telling Putin to, “Cut it out.” (How embarrassing.)

Where is the proof that Russia is responsible for the hacking during the election?

Julian Assange has said it was NOT Russia.

Now, for those that are saying why believe Assange? Because, if you have posted in support, and believed everything else that Assange has said, previously … then, wouldn’t it be hypocritical, and shortsighted, to not believe Assange, concerning this? Maybe we could call that … “convenient faith.”

And … here’s the hypocritical part (really So “Obama”) Seriously Obama, it is beneath other countries to “interfere” with a country’s election?? Seriously? Am I the only one who remembers Israel’s 2015 election … and Obama’s interference?

The Flag Was Never Just A Piece Of Cloth To Me

I was Navy. The American flag was never just a piece of cloth to me.  It is one of our most cherished national symbols. Let’s don’t confuse this symbol with a “symbol” representing a football team or a chicken franchise.

The red and white stars represent the thirteen original colonies.  Those …. Colonies … were built by the blood, the sweat and the strife of real men and women, facing unknown dangers, starvation, and separations from friends and family, left behind, in other countries.

The blue canton represents “unity.”  It stands for the unity of people coming together to create this great Republic, and swearing allegiance as one nation under God, with liberty and justice for all Americans.  And, before any one jumps on the “for all Americans” thing, I am referring to when this flag was created and updated to symbolize all 50 states.  I am not talking about the “Pledge of Allegiance, “when, and why the word America …was added.  Let’s stay focused.

The stars represent each state in the Republic of America.  The stars don’t just represent a specific state.  They again … represent all the brave men and women who fought (and those who died) for state sovereignty and to be recognized as a part of this great nation.

I watch people, who have been given more opportunity to do something with their lives than in any other country, chant hate slogans and burn the flag … and, it sickens me.

I watch people who claim to be historians, Constitutionalists, and political authoritarians … smile condescendingly … while reminding viewers and listeners that this is one of those “unalienable rights” of all Americans.

But, there is one word that keeps being kept out of the conversation … and, that is … responsibility.  With rights, come responsibilities.  It is the responsibility of respecting the rights … and feelings … of others, as well as our own.

It is the responsibility of honoring those who have come before us and who have fought and died to preserve the very rights that, so many abuse, today.

Our American Flag has been carried from battleground to battleground in the fight for our liberty and our freedoms, as a country, and, in protecting others.  While it was sometimes torn and shredded, somewhat … it prevailed.

Our American Flag is a symbol of our American history and it is a declaration of all that we have had to fight for, endure, and overcome.

That symbol should not be trivialized to mean nothing more than a “piece of cloth” or a cell-phone symbol.

The American Flag is a symbol which represents the very heart and soul of everything that is America, the good and the ugly.  It represents and honors the good men and women who have fought bravely to preserve our rights and freedoms.  It represents the pain, the heartache, the tears, the sacrifices, and the deaths of real people who helped to make, and preserve our Republic of America.

The events that have framed America … the people that lived and died for this country … are now a part of history.  They are no longer with us.  But … our American Flag is still here.  She is still waving in honor of those people and as a reminder of all that is America.

No, the American Flag is NOT just a piece of cloth, as some say.  It symbolizes the very soul of America, it is the history of America … and it is a constant reminder of the glory and the greatness that America can be for future generations.  Our flag should be revered and honored, not ripped apart and burned.  One has that right, to be sure … but with that right, comes responsibility, and the duty of respect … for the very object … that symbolizes that right.

The Beginning of “The Beginning”

I am excited to announce that “The Promise Book; Tell Someone” is now available at Amazon.com and at www.thisisdebbiebarth.com.  The book is the key to the vehicle allowing parents to talk with their small children about child predators without frightening or intimidating them.  The website, for this book, also includes a blog that will express my experiences, as well as the experiences of others.  From time to time, I will share those blogs, here as well.

However, I will also continue my thoughts on all subjects known to mankind.  So … stay tuned.

Here is the first blog from my new www.thisisdebbiebarth.com.  The subject matter is not always easy to write about, but, it is a subject that needs to be addressed … and, combated.

Only The Beginning

It was a day … just like any other day.  The walk home from elementary school … was like any other walk.  Yes, it was like any other day … until she walked through the front door, into the living room.

He appeared to be asleep, with his face and body turned toward the back sofa cushions.  He was completely undressed.  He must have heard her come in, and knew that she was standing there.  He turned over, looked at her … and smiled.

She was feeling uncomfortable, and yet, unable to move.  He was lying there, undressed, now … staring at her.  He had such a strange smile on his face.  He told her to come closer.  She did.

He took her hand and put on his … “private part.”  It was so quite in the house.  She couldn’t breathe.  His smile became even wider, even stranger.  And then … he let her hand go.

He said, “go change your clothes and go out and play.”

She ran to her room, closed the door, changed clothes hurriedly, and then ran through the kitchen and … out the back door.  She wasn’t sure what had just happened … but … she was glad it was over.

What she didn’t know …was that it was just beginning ….

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Unfortunately, child predators are often the people closest to the child.  Please look for the signs.  Trust your own instincts.  And, protect your children.  Don’t rely on them to tell you something is wrong.  They won’t, unless you have talked to them, beforehand.  Prepare them.  Let them know … before it happens … that they can “tell someone,” no matter who the abuser is.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I hope that you will also take some time to drop by website, at www.thisisdebbiebarth.com and look at this beautiful book, “The Promise Book; Tell Someone,” aimed at helping parents talk with their small children about child predators in a way that is not frightening or intimidating.

So, you are now really seeing the different sides of Debbie Barth … because … “this is really Debbie Barth.”

WHAT YOU ARE REALLY VOTING FOR THIS YEAR

I am surprised at some of the people who say they aren’t voting for either candidate, in November. Some think that it “sends a message” to the government, and some feel that, somehow … it cancels out another vote (note sure about the math with this one) and some say that it will not make a difference.

I think that if you just set there … and you don’t vote … you don’t do anything, but complain in social media or to each other … how do you feel this is actually sending a message to anyone that is really pertinent in government, or that it will lead to change? Frankly, I think you are letting the government off the hook and you are “complying” … not … “sending a message.” If you are actually doing the math, it isn’t staying home that counts … it’s actually voting.

And … YES, votes do count and that is what sends the message to the government. Not a temper tantrum or some kind of misguided sense of “superiority of character and what’s best for this country,” based on doing nothing because … one’s choice of candidate didn’t get nominated.

And, YES … voting WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE … and one that will be seen.

You aren’t just voting for a person. You are voting for open … or … closed borders. You are voting for continued usurpation and overspending of this government … or … stopping usurpation and overspending.

You are voting for a continuing racial division in this country … or … bringing people together, through conversations based on their love for this country, personal respect for each other, and a drive to bring back jobs and better education for all.

You are voting for elevating the risk for terrorism in this country … by bringing more immigrants into this country, who are not properly vetted. Or, you are voting for common sense in the fight against Islamic Radical Terrorism.

You are voting for more gun control, making it more difficult for innocent, law-abiding people to take protect their families … or … the enforcement of the gun laws already on the books and the preservation of our 2nd amendment.

You are voting for who will be the next confirmed Supreme Court Justice (Perhaps as many as three) and future landmark rulings.

You are not just voting for a person. You are voting for what that person will do once in office.

Never has the difference in policies been so different. Never has the sanctity of our Bill of Rights and our U.S. Constitution, our economy, our education, our future … our country … been on the line as it is now.

I may not agree with your choice, but to not vote at all is letting down every man and women who has fought for the very right to vote.

No, simply because you don’t like the candidates who are running … two very different fates are in the hands of the winner in November. And, you will help to seal that fate.

You are NOT just voting for Hillary R. Clinton or Donald J. Trump. You are voting for the Republic of America … or not.

When Does Liberty Stop and Security Begin? In Hindsight, We Knew He Was Bad … But …

While the Orlando shooter did nothing illegal, before this last weekend, when he killed 50 people and wounded 53 more at Gay nightclub, “Pulse” … he had obviously been a loose cannon long before that event.

The stories are emerging about his repugnant behavior in high school, just after 9/11.  He was investigated by the FBI because of reports from his co-workers.  And, when the investigation led to nothing definitive, the investigation was closed.

The thing is that in America … liberty seems to trump (intentional pun) security. What he did was repugnant … but America says he has a right to his opinion and his freedom of expression.

How is his actions IN SCHOOL (not this weekend) … any more repulsive than the actions of Bill Ayers (leader in the Weather Underground, responsible for blowing up buildings and killing several people) or Angela Davis (1970 armed take-over of a Marin County, California, courtroom, in which four persons were killed)?  These two people are not only allowed to walk freely about … they are … or have … taught in universities.

His co-workers were offended and deeply concerned about his verbal threats and radical behavior, but still … it was all verbal.   The F.B.I. had spoken with him, and apparently had him on a watch list for a while … but … it was his words that were concerning.  He had done nothing criminal.

And, with no criminal record … he was free to purchase an AR -15 rifle.

So, at what point do words and forms of “expression” supersede liberty for security?

At what point should we put someone on a watch list and when should that person be taken off?

And, when someone what is put on a watch list … how much latitude should the F.B.I. and other law enforcement agencies be given?

And, in the case of the Orlando shooter … when should he have been … legally… taken off the streets, before the shooting … and for what … other than his repugnant and repulsive words, disrespect for the victims of 9/11, and the threats to his co-workers?

My question really is … we know now … that the Orlando shooter hated LGBT …was repugnant in school, disrespectful of 9/11, and leaned toward radical Islam … but when … seriously when … does security supersede liberty?

Instead of all the talk about gun control … perhaps the question of liberty vs security is the bigger issue.

THE ORLANDO SHOOTING: TIME TO REPLACE “PC” WITH “CS”

I was saddened to wake up to the tragedy of the mass shooting, overnight, at Orlando Gay nightclub, Pulse, this morning.

Omar Mateen, born in the U.S. (parents from Afghanistan), walked into the nightclub and killed 50 people (there will probably be more fatalities) and seriously injured 53 other people.

It didn’t take long at all for a woman Florida State Senator (I refuse to give her name) to use this terrorist attack to further her, Obama’s, and Clinton’s anti-gun agenda.

President Obama has an upcoming press conference.  I am sure that once again … he will ask us to be nice to our Muslim friends and that this attack can be … solely … blamed on guns.

Not this time Obama … never again … should we allow this false rhetoric to distract Americans from the real problem.

That problem is Islamic Terrorists, those in groups and the lone wolf, who have infiltrated into America and whose agenda is to kill Americans and groups of which … associate hate for them.

The terrorist can and will get guns with or without any new gun control or mass take-over of guns from American citizens with the right to bear arms.

The problem is NOT the guns!  The problem is a President who has used his term in office to destroy America and American values, with political correctness, an easy path with which Islamic terrorist are free to enter this country … and a FORCED acceptance of the American people to accept anyone and everyone (even our enemies) into this country … their values, and … their cultures.

The attack that happened over night in Orlando, Florida is not because of guns.  The blame is placed squarely on the political correctness which started out looking like a small rash and has developed and metastasized into a deadly cancer.

America, it is time that we replace the “Political Correctness” … with “Common Sense.”  It is time to get out all leadership that wallows in “PC” and elect the only one representing good old fashion … “CS”.

It is time to elect Donald J Trump.

Judge Curiel and The Case For Trump

This is a lawsuit between Trump and plaintiffs against Trump University. It is NOT, for crying out loud … a NATIONAL suit, nor is it a matter of national security. The faked outrage is ludicrous!

I would ask the people trying to make this an issue … if your son or daughter was being sued by the parents of a young girl who died in a car accident while riding in the car of this young man or woman … suspected of texting before the accident … and the Presiding Judge … had … just lost his daughter in a similar accident … don’t you believe the lawyers for the defendant would be screaming for the Judge to recuse himself?!

It is the Defendants duty to his/her client(s) to scrutinize the Presiding Judge in every way possible, securing a FAIR judgement.

Judge Curiel may be born in Indiana … but he is of Mexican Heritage who was a member of the LaRaza Bar Association of Lawyers. He is no longer a member … NOT because he felt he needed to in order to at least appear to be unbiased … But … only … because in order to accept his appointment as a District Judge … he was required to give up membership. The plaintiff’s lawyers are devout supporters of the Democratic Party and have paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to H. Clinton for speeches.

Judge Curiel has friendly ties with the head of Univision (which Trump sued).

The main plaintiff, a woman … was ordered to step out of the suit because … there were several previous glowing endorsements of Trump University made by her.

There are thousands of letters and endorsements submitted by satisfied students of Trump University.

In lieu of this woman having to step out of this suit and the amount of endorsements that have come to light … this Judge … SHOULD have thrown this case out, but did not.

Donald J. Trump has every right to want this Judge to recuse himself, and his reasons are valid.

Anyone saying otherwise simply has an agenda to take Trump down by any means, valid or not … or … they are being hypocritical if they are saying that they would not scrutinize the Judge presiding their case. And, the defendant’s lawyers would be remiss.

Bottom line … this is nothing more that BS. And, since when is it RACIST to call a Mexican … Mexican??

Anybody falling for this crap should be ashamed of themselves this is ridiculous. Everybody … back to your safe-spaces!

THEY HUFFED AND THEY PUFFED BUT THEY COULDN’T BLOW DONALD TRUMP DOWN

Last Friday, protesters tried to block the Presidential front-runner, Donald Trump, from making a speech before the Republican Party Convention in the Hyatt Regency hotel in Burlingame, California.

They chanted obscenities and threw raw eggs at police.  They chanted obscenities and threw objects at Trump supporters.  They called Trump a bigot and a racist.  Their presence threatened the thousands of Trump supporters, simply trying to exercise their right to freedom of speech by attending the Trump rally.

Ironically there were protesters that were clearly not from America, and … who could barely speak English, crying out “This is not America.”

And, as most people, who actually watch the news and read know … many of these protesters were there simply … to earn a pay check.  Most were disrespectful and clearly had no idea what or why they were protesting.  One wonders how many of the protesters (and I use this term loosely) were actually illegals.  What was evident is that they were acting like caged wild animals, foaming from the side of their mouths, with no respect for others … and it would seem … for themselves.

And, the fact is … with all the ranting, chanting and raving … they did not achieve their goal, quite the contrary.  They may have actually helped to show Americans the bravery, the conviction, and the genuine leadership of Donald J. Trump.

Mr. Trump, along with the Trump Team, took a different route, stopped their vehicles off the side of a major highway – jumped down three feet, went through a cut opened fence, walked across a ravine, went down a service road, and walked through the doors via the back door … all while protestors chanted obscenities, stomped the American flag and acted like complete goons.

In the face of opposition, danger, and obstructions, Donald J. Trump reminded the American public what fortitude, courage and strength of character looks like.

Indeed, they huffed and they puffed, but they could not blow Donald J. Trump down.

THREE EXPLOSIONS IN BRUSSELS -THEN CRUZ ATTACKS TRUMP

Once again Americans woke up this morning to another terrorist attack, this time … in Brussels, which is a region of Belgium.

As of the time of this blog, it has been reported that 31 people have been killed and 187 people have been injured in two explosions at the Brussels’ airport and, one explosion at the Metro Station.  As time goes on, sadly, the death toll may increase.

ISIS has apparently taken claim for these attacks.  There are reports from various news agencies indicating that this attack may have been planned far in advance, but, was carried out ahead of plan, in retaliation for the capture of terrorist Salah Abdeslam. (Wanted in the Paris attacks on 13 November 2015.)

And, then, here in America … is the explosive remark detonated by Ted Cruz against Donald Trump.

While Cruz did not directly blame Trump for the terrorist attack in Brussels (He would have if he could have had more notice, I’m sure.), Cruz did say the following. “It is striking the day after Donald Trump called for America … weakening from NATO … we see Brussels … where Nato is headquartered, the subject of an Islam terrorist attack.”

He went further and said that “Donald Trump is wrong that America should withdraw from the world and abandon our allies. Donald Trump is wrong that American should retreat from Europe, retreat from NATO, hand Putin a major victory and while he’s at it hand ISIS a major victory,” Cruz said.”

I find it not surprising, but despicable of Ted Cruz to use this moment to talk about Trump, rather than to simply send a message of condolences and solidarity to the people of Brussels … this … without … making a political statement.

Cruz said that it was wrong of Trump to work forward to “withdraw” from NATO.  And … that Trump wants to weaken NATO.

I find it typical of “Lying Ted” to make a political statement about Donald J. Trump that is absolutely false.

Now Hear This!  “Lying Cruz” alert!  This NOT what Trump said, or meant.

What Trump said … and meant … is that NATO is not carrying its weight.  NATO depends heavily on America, financially, with America adding so much more help, financially, than any other country that is a part of NATO.  Trump is calling for NATO to do its share financially.  Would he use this at a “bargaining power” for America to stay in NATO?  Absolutely, he should … in my humble opinion.   And, we know that he is the best negotiator of all negotiators.

And, we know that Ted Cruz is the best liar … of … well.  And, yes, that is my humble opinion, based on lie after lie, after lie.

Utahns are headed for the polls tonight, and I am sure that the terrorist attacks in Brussels, hours ago, will be on their minds.  I’m sure that the safety of this country will be on their minds.  I can only hope that when they hear Ted Cruz speak of building a wall and (as of today) there should be a halt on visas and we need to stop the influx of refugees coming into America … that Utahns will remember that it was Donald J Trump that said this first … “when it wasn’t cool.”

And, that Ted Cruz … hours after the terrorist attacks in Brussels, used this terrible tragedy to launch a political attack on Donald J. Trump, by detonating false accusations.

THERE SHOULD BE A DRINK NAMED AFTER OBAMA’S CUBAN SPEECH TODAY AND I HAVE THE NAME

President Obama was all smiles, today, as he addressed the Cuban people with the same “hope and change” rhetoric that he used on unsuspecting Americans, eight years ago.  It’s the “hope and change” of a better Cuba, due to a renewed relationship with America.

Of course, we all know how well Obama’s “hope and change” has worked out here, in America.

It’s the “hope and change” of prosperity through commerce and increasing the amount of money that can be sent to Cuba.

But what he failed to mention was that the money would go directly to the Dictatorship, as American money, and that the Cubans will still be paid in pesos.  The average income will stay at about $20.00 per month.

Obama said that he believes in the free flow of information and he has authorized increased telecommunications connections between the United States and Cuba.

I am still laughing at the “free flow of information” … and, wondering if Obama has bought stock in CNN or AT&T.  Perhaps, he will have his own internet talk radio show, once he leaves office.

Obama said that businesses will be able to sell goods that enable Cubans to communicate with the United States and other countries.

So, does mean that Chinese/Korea developed and manufactured computers will be sold in Cuba?   That helps China, but … oh, well.  As far as America goes … perhaps the IT guys that built the Obama-care websites could offer computer support.

Obama welcomed Cuba’s decision to release a substantial number of prisoners whose cases were directly raised with the Cuban government by his team.  He did not give names of these “prisoners to be released”, or their nationality.

What I really find disturbing about this … was that Obama never mentioned the four domestic terrorists responsible for the deaths of 17 police officers, five American civilians and two U.S. servicemen and 159 bombings that have found refuge, for decades, in Cuba.  Apparently there was no talk of the extradition of these criminals back to America, so that justice could be served, and the families of the victims could find some kind of closure.

While Cuba can include a map of their homes as one of the “many attractions” during your “Cuban holiday” … the downside is … these fugitives are living freely in Cuba, and hate Americans, so … like any wild animal, you need to keep a fair distance, and do not try to feed them.

On a more serious note, I can imagine the hurt, pain and outrage felt by the son of the New Jersey State Trooper (Werner Foerster) that was killed by Joanne Chesimard … who has been living in Cuba since the mid 1980’s.

I think that Mr. Foerster (the younger) is not interested in Obama’s legacy, or the fact that the Cuban dictatorship will be receiving more American money … which will not go to the people, or that Cuba may have a better telecommunications center and upgraded computers, in order to communicate with their long-distance family members.  (Mr. forester will never be able to talk with his father … never.)

And so, Obama smiled as he promised, once again … “hope and change” … and once again, no one will gain from this, but Obama and a Terrorist, Dictatorial regime.  And, once again, over time, people will be disappointed and that disappointment will turn into quiet rage and resentment.  Obama will have his legacy … and the Cuban people will still have the same Dictatorship and suffer the same oppression.

But … hey …because of Obama … Americans can travel to a city, still lost in the sixties and sit outside on a dusty patio and drink Cuba Libres.

The only hope is for a double-shot of Rum and the only change received is left for the tip.

And that is the crux of Obama’s Cuban “Hope and Change” speech, today.

There should be a drink named after Obama’s Speech today, called “Cuba Oppression.”  No matter how little you drink of that “Kool-aid” … you are guaranteed one heck of a long-lasting hangover.
