They Can All Make-Believe That I’m Watching

I have seen a few comments regarding a certain awards show.  I am not watching.  Actually, I haven’t watched for years.  But … NO … it isn’t because they are using their platform and notoriety to bash our President.  I would not sit through two hours of them bashing ANYONE.

I will not sit there and watch two hours of hypocrisy.  I would not sit there watching all the bizarre outfits, or the women wearing “next-to-nothing”, showing off as much of their breasts and butt they can, while claiming to be advocates for women’s rights and demanding … “respect” … and claiming to be outraged by anything they find remotely “offensive” (although some is true).

I have no respect for people who are blessed to live in beautiful homes (sometimes 3 or 4), drive fancy cars, vacation in exotic ports, so far removed from “regular” people, and yet, use their platform, and their notoriety to expound their political beliefs under the guise of “caring about people” at award shows.

If they wanted to use the time for anything other than to graciously accept an award for their work … and, if they truly cared about “the people” … then why aren’t they talking about how much money they have donated to promote the cure for cancer or leukemia, or help the children at St. Jude, or help veterans who are homeless, and all homeless people, and ask everyone in the room, and watching to do the same?  Why not talk about rebuilding neighborhoods and schools?  Why?

Because, in my humble opinion, they …really … don’t … care.  Bashing the President and conservatives secures future work for them.  It’s all a lie.  It’s all … make-believe.

So, while they are on the stage, ranting and raving about their rights and the rights of others (that fits their views) and letting people into this country who ignore our laws and processes, and will contribute little to nothing to America … while they are gushing all over their “successes” tonight … they can make-believe that I am watching.
