Meet the Satanist Who Demands Christians Bake His Cakes

Meet Douglas Mesner, from Detroit, Michigan … aka … Lucien Greaves … a self-professed “Satanist” who is suggesting that his “followers” demand Christians bake cakes, with “satanic themes,” for their cult celebrations.  I am assuming the “Devil’s Food Cake” would be most popular with this group.  I believe this demand really has more to do with Greaves’ misguided greed for some sort of sick and perverse power.  Of course, a financial “windfall” from a civil lawsuit by the so-called “Satanist” is probably a motivator, as well.  And … the fact the Greaves could be responsible for ruining the livelihood of a Christian … would be the … icing … on his cake.

He is also encouraging LGBT rights supporters to order Satan-themed cakes from bakers who oppose same-sex marriage because of their religious beliefs.  I frankly find that an insult to the LGBT supporters, simply because … it implies that none of them believe in God, and … all … are Satanist.

I am not sure which is an uglier, scary thought … his face … or the fact that he is the “leader/founder” of the Satanic Temple (with a small following) … and, that he has 12K followers (at least “like”) his page, in Facebook.

I agree with Tucker Carlson that this person is … probably … no more than a bitter, hate-filled, individual who led an unhappy life, filled with rejection.  More than likely, his only way of dealing with the fate life has dealt him … was to create a “persona” that would draw people to him, who had similar unhappy experiences, and/or lack of self-esteem.

Greaves is also the co-founder and spokesperson for the After School Satan program created in 2016 by The Satanic Temple.  So, parents … seriously … you may want to take more notice of the after-school programs offered by your local schools.

So … this is Douglas Mesnar …   Doug from Detroit, Mi. … using the self-esteem issues of others and, those whose social culture differ from others …  to promote his own sick hatred for a God, for whom … he holds nothing but contempt.  There will no picture shown of “Doug,” in this blog.  I feel “unclean” enough, just writing about him.  As far as his suggestion to harass Christian bakery owners and to demand they bake “Satanic-themed” cakes … let him bake his own cake.  And … I hope he chokes on it.

MY MESSAGE TO GREEN BAY FANS: They Don’t Care About You

Green Bay fans … the NFL and the Green Bay Packers do not care about you.  They care about their players.  They care about money … their prestige … their ownership of their Packer fans.

They care about filling the seats, high ratings, and Championships.  They do not care about the person who is the fan, nor do they care about this flag or country. (In my opinion.)

The owners and coaches care about players who have been pushed through schools and colleges, without knowing how to read a book, let alone read our U.S Constitution … and … that disrespect our soldiers, our flag and our country.  The players are their precious commodity … until, they aren’t.

Aaron Rodgers is calling for Packer fans to … show up (uppermost in his mind) … and link arms in solidarity for the players (who disrespect our flag) … not… in solidarity for our flag, Anthem, country and soldiers.  His plea to the public is:

“This is about equality,” (Rodgers said.) “This is about unity and love and growing together as a society, and starting a conversation around something that may be a little bit uncomfortable for people. But we’ve got to come together and talk about these things and grow as a community, as a connected group of individuals in our society, and we’re going to continue to show love and unity.” (excerpt from USA Today)

My response to Aaron Rodgers (I was a huge fan, at one time) is … that our flag is about unity, love and our solidarity … as a country.  How small Rodger’s request is, in comparison.

To be clear … this is my opinion.  Instead of kneeling outside the door on the Green Bay locker room, I will express here, in my blog.

I will not be watching the game tonight.  In my opinion, this “plea for solidarity,” is simply a ploy to get people in their stadium seats … and, in front of the cameras; and, to get their failing ratings back up.  I am not going to participate in that.

The Green Bay Packers … to my knowledge, at this writing … are the only publicly owned football team.  That means there is a high percentage of the Green Bay Packer fans who own stock in the Packer’s team.

It is my hope … given the blatant disrespect of this team … that the stock-owning fans will not show up tonight.

As for me … I’m putting all my stock into my flag, my country, and our brave soldiers.

The Flag Was Never Just A Piece Of Cloth To Me

I was Navy. The American flag was never just a piece of cloth to me.  It is one of our most cherished national symbols. Let’s don’t confuse this symbol with a “symbol” representing a football team or a chicken franchise.

The red and white stars represent the thirteen original colonies.  Those …. Colonies … were built by the blood, the sweat and the strife of real men and women, facing unknown dangers, starvation, and separations from friends and family, left behind, in other countries.

The blue canton represents “unity.”  It stands for the unity of people coming together to create this great Republic, and swearing allegiance as one nation under God, with liberty and justice for all Americans.  And, before any one jumps on the “for all Americans” thing, I am referring to when this flag was created and updated to symbolize all 50 states.  I am not talking about the “Pledge of Allegiance, “when, and why the word America …was added.  Let’s stay focused.

The stars represent each state in the Republic of America.  The stars don’t just represent a specific state.  They again … represent all the brave men and women who fought (and those who died) for state sovereignty and to be recognized as a part of this great nation.

I watch people, who have been given more opportunity to do something with their lives than in any other country, chant hate slogans and burn the flag … and, it sickens me.

I watch people who claim to be historians, Constitutionalists, and political authoritarians … smile condescendingly … while reminding viewers and listeners that this is one of those “unalienable rights” of all Americans.

But, there is one word that keeps being kept out of the conversation … and, that is … responsibility.  With rights, come responsibilities.  It is the responsibility of respecting the rights … and feelings … of others, as well as our own.

It is the responsibility of honoring those who have come before us and who have fought and died to preserve the very rights that, so many abuse, today.

Our American Flag has been carried from battleground to battleground in the fight for our liberty and our freedoms, as a country, and, in protecting others.  While it was sometimes torn and shredded, somewhat … it prevailed.

Our American Flag is a symbol of our American history and it is a declaration of all that we have had to fight for, endure, and overcome.

That symbol should not be trivialized to mean nothing more than a “piece of cloth” or a cell-phone symbol.

The American Flag is a symbol which represents the very heart and soul of everything that is America, the good and the ugly.  It represents and honors the good men and women who have fought bravely to preserve our rights and freedoms.  It represents the pain, the heartache, the tears, the sacrifices, and the deaths of real people who helped to make, and preserve our Republic of America.

The events that have framed America … the people that lived and died for this country … are now a part of history.  They are no longer with us.  But … our American Flag is still here.  She is still waving in honor of those people and as a reminder of all that is America.

No, the American Flag is NOT just a piece of cloth, as some say.  It symbolizes the very soul of America, it is the history of America … and it is a constant reminder of the glory and the greatness that America can be for future generations.  Our flag should be revered and honored, not ripped apart and burned.  One has that right, to be sure … but with that right, comes responsibility, and the duty of respect … for the very object … that symbolizes that right.
