It’s Time to End the W.H. Briefings and Put Down the Rabid Dogs

I think it’s time to end the White House Press Briefings. The so-called reporters are nothing but a pack of rabid dogs, showing their teeth, drool dripping down from their jowls, growling … and, howling at the moon … (actually, at Sarah Huckabee Sanders.)

They don’t ask valid questions in order to enlighten Americans of recent events in the country. They attack Ms. Sanders with snide remarks, demeaning comments … and false accusations.

They twist the words of our President, ridicule … and, never mention all the amazing accomplishments this man has done in such a short amount of time.

Meanwhile … the hatred and divide within this country increases … and, the American people who listen to the briefings, view the clips, or read the articles … come away with nothing of value.

These people are not real journalists, in my opinion. They are pathetic, biased, angry people who are not happy the shroud that hid their ineptness and inadequacies has been jerked away by President Trump.

They do not deserve the honor of sitting in that room at the White House, getting the visibility they need and fight over in order to survive in a competitive profession.

The American people, however … do deserve better.

KNOW SOMEONE WHO FITS THIS PROFILE?

According to www.childpredators.com:

When compared to girls who are sexually active with boys near their own age, these girls (those who have been sexually abused) are more likely to:

  • have multiple sex partners
  • drop out of school
  • engage in dangerous sexual behaviors
  • become pregnant
  • run away from home
  • be lured into prostitution
  • abuse drugs or alcohol
  • end up on welfare
  • be estranged from friends and family
  • be in physically abusive relationships
  • become divorced

Trust me when I say … I didn’t need to double-check these statics.  There will be women who read this, and know how true this is.  This is the profile for young girls who have been sexually abused.  Anyone you recognize?  If so … reach out to them.

Or … we can, as parents … sit down with our children … as soon as possible … and, talk with them about child predators. We can, as parents … let them know that no one has a right to touch them in private areas.  We can, as parents … let them know we are there for them … we love them … we support them … and … that … they CAN “tell someone.”  We can stop this … before it begins.

“Together, we are pulling out the weeds!”

THE DUALITY OF JULIAN ASSANGE

As did many, I watched the Sean Hannity interview with Julian Assange, last night.  For me, it wasn’t just about the alleged Russian hack and influence on this previous election.  It was about the man, Julian Assange, himself.  It is the “duality” of the man who perplexes me.  Aside from the fact he needs a good hair-cut, I still haven’t figured him out.

Does he consider himself a force of evil or a force of good?  Does he think of himself as a journalist, the founder of what has become a powerful media force over the last ten years, a hacker, a con man … a rapist … or … an innocent man … who is trapped (by others) in a nightmare of revenge for past actions, falsely accused of rape, who is simply getting the truth to the American people?

He said, last night that only one person knew the real truth about the Wiki-leaks exposure of the John Podesta/Hillary Clinton emails.  That person is him.  And, I suppose, he is the only one that knows “who” Julian Assange is … and what drives his ambitions.

It is true that John Podesta’s emails were hacked.  Seriously … his password was “password?”  I do not condone “hacking.”  It is a despicable action, and most people would be embarrassed (probably losing some friends, a job … or a very angry spouse.)  On the other hand, these were government official’s emails, of which … Julian Assange and Wiki-leaks exposed the true ugliness and hypocrisy of politics, and politicians.  He allowed us to see the inner workings of the people who could have very well been packing-up to move to the White House.  Julian Assange confirmed everything we had always felt about the politicians we have given our trust, but had never had confirmed.

It is also true that Julian Assange exposed the emails via Wiki-leaks, but, no one is saying he was responsible for the hacking.  That dubious honor is being placed on the Russians.  To date … neither the Obama Administration, the CIA, nor the FBI has come forth with concrete evidence that Russia is responsible for the hack. (I’m not even going into the ridiculous claim that Russia “won” the election for Trump.)  Assange very clearly … several times … stated (last night) that Russia was not behind the hacking.  The faked outrage coming from the left, because many people choose to believe Assange and Wiki-leaks (with a 10 year perfect credibility reputation) over our government agencies (just look at their credibility over the last ten years) is laughable.  Our government agencies have … well-earned … our mistrust.

But … back to Julian Assange.  Not only has he been behind a treasure trove of leaks, (A Somali assignation order, Sarah Palin’s yahoo email account, military e-mail docs, etc.), Sweden wants him back in court for the alleged sexual misconduct and rape of two women.

As much as I think hacking is despicable, I can’t even begin to say how much I despise a rapist.  However … again, the proof, if any, is non-existent (or locked away, somewhere), as it is only an allegation at this point.  According to Assange, the two women involved dropped the charges years ago.  They are not accusing him of sexual misconduct, the Swedish government is.  Assange states he had already been cleared by the State Prosecutor, in Stockholm, Sweden.  He states that he has been detained illegally for the last six years.

So, who really is Julian Assange?  Will we ever know the truth?  Is he the man Sweden is trying, all these years, to prove he is?  Do we condemn him for encouraging hacks, and leaking information on an international level?  Or is he a falsely accused man, imprisoned in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London … and, a hero to be appreciated by the American people, for exposing us to the unsavory, power-greedy hypocrites, who may have become our new leaders.

And, that … is the duality of Julian Assange.

OBAMA SANCTIONS; TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE, SO HYPOCRITICAL

I am no fan of Putin (although he did make Obama look like a wus), and I do agree that there are, more than likely, many reason for sanctions against Russia. But … as far as Russia interfering with this election … where is the proof? In the eight years that Obama has had to retaliate against Russia … he chooses now … and … something with no concrete evidence? (And, really … the “sanctions” are pretty lame.) Actually, about as lame as Obama telling Putin to, “Cut it out.” (How embarrassing.)

Where is the proof that Russia is responsible for the hacking during the election?

Julian Assange has said it was NOT Russia.

Now, for those that are saying why believe Assange? Because, if you have posted in support, and believed everything else that Assange has said, previously … then, wouldn’t it be hypocritical, and shortsighted, to not believe Assange, concerning this? Maybe we could call that … “convenient faith.”

And … here’s the hypocritical part (really So “Obama”) Seriously Obama, it is beneath other countries to “interfere” with a country’s election?? Seriously? Am I the only one who remembers Israel’s 2015 election … and Obama’s interference?

The Flag Was Never Just A Piece Of Cloth To Me

I was Navy. The American flag was never just a piece of cloth to me.  It is one of our most cherished national symbols. Let’s don’t confuse this symbol with a “symbol” representing a football team or a chicken franchise.

The red and white stars represent the thirteen original colonies.  Those …. Colonies … were built by the blood, the sweat and the strife of real men and women, facing unknown dangers, starvation, and separations from friends and family, left behind, in other countries.

The blue canton represents “unity.”  It stands for the unity of people coming together to create this great Republic, and swearing allegiance as one nation under God, with liberty and justice for all Americans.  And, before any one jumps on the “for all Americans” thing, I am referring to when this flag was created and updated to symbolize all 50 states.  I am not talking about the “Pledge of Allegiance, “when, and why the word America …was added.  Let’s stay focused.

The stars represent each state in the Republic of America.  The stars don’t just represent a specific state.  They again … represent all the brave men and women who fought (and those who died) for state sovereignty and to be recognized as a part of this great nation.

I watch people, who have been given more opportunity to do something with their lives than in any other country, chant hate slogans and burn the flag … and, it sickens me.

I watch people who claim to be historians, Constitutionalists, and political authoritarians … smile condescendingly … while reminding viewers and listeners that this is one of those “unalienable rights” of all Americans.

But, there is one word that keeps being kept out of the conversation … and, that is … responsibility.  With rights, come responsibilities.  It is the responsibility of respecting the rights … and feelings … of others, as well as our own.

It is the responsibility of honoring those who have come before us and who have fought and died to preserve the very rights that, so many abuse, today.

Our American Flag has been carried from battleground to battleground in the fight for our liberty and our freedoms, as a country, and, in protecting others.  While it was sometimes torn and shredded, somewhat … it prevailed.

Our American Flag is a symbol of our American history and it is a declaration of all that we have had to fight for, endure, and overcome.

That symbol should not be trivialized to mean nothing more than a “piece of cloth” or a cell-phone symbol.

The American Flag is a symbol which represents the very heart and soul of everything that is America, the good and the ugly.  It represents and honors the good men and women who have fought bravely to preserve our rights and freedoms.  It represents the pain, the heartache, the tears, the sacrifices, and the deaths of real people who helped to make, and preserve our Republic of America.

The events that have framed America … the people that lived and died for this country … are now a part of history.  They are no longer with us.  But … our American Flag is still here.  She is still waving in honor of those people and as a reminder of all that is America.

No, the American Flag is NOT just a piece of cloth, as some say.  It symbolizes the very soul of America, it is the history of America … and it is a constant reminder of the glory and the greatness that America can be for future generations.  Our flag should be revered and honored, not ripped apart and burned.  One has that right, to be sure … but with that right, comes responsibility, and the duty of respect … for the very object … that symbolizes that right.

HAMILTON AIMED HIGH … AND MISSED AGAIN

There has been much “ado” about the “bad performance” of the audience attending the “Hamilton” Broadway play, when Vice President-Elect Pence and family arrived.

While I don’t think the actor’s words, at the closing “grand-finale” were necessarily “offensive” to Pence, I do feel that using the stage and his profession for a political platform, distasteful.

Art forms, including theater, are one place where people, despite their differences, should be able to assemble in harmony, and escape the out-side forces that divide us.

I also felt the “boos” were uncalled for and inexcusable at such an event.  The fact that it was in New York (as one reporter indicated) is not an excuse for poor behavior.  It should also be noted that there were also cheers, while perhaps not as loud.

The less than dramatic “statement” … read … by the actor in character of Aaron Burr fell flat, in my opinion because, while it was an admonishment to Vice President-Elect for more “inclusiveness” in the upcoming administration … and, inclusiveness, was clearly … not the message sent by the audience or the performers

Vice President-Elect Pence attended a Broadway play with his family, sitting in an audience with a diversity of culture, race and nationality, to watch a play featuring black actors performing in the role of characters, based on white people.  He was there to enjoy the play, to support the performing arts and to share that love with everyone around him.  And yet, those very people screaming for “inclusiveness,” showed Pence the very opposite.  They chose to boo him and they chose to set him apart and not include him.

As far as I am concerned, the Broadway show, “Hamilton” aimed high … but missed … once again.

WHAT YOU ARE REALLY VOTING FOR THIS YEAR

I am surprised at some of the people who say they aren’t voting for either candidate, in November. Some think that it “sends a message” to the government, and some feel that, somehow … it cancels out another vote (note sure about the math with this one) and some say that it will not make a difference.

I think that if you just set there … and you don’t vote … you don’t do anything, but complain in social media or to each other … how do you feel this is actually sending a message to anyone that is really pertinent in government, or that it will lead to change? Frankly, I think you are letting the government off the hook and you are “complying” … not … “sending a message.” If you are actually doing the math, it isn’t staying home that counts … it’s actually voting.

And … YES, votes do count and that is what sends the message to the government. Not a temper tantrum or some kind of misguided sense of “superiority of character and what’s best for this country,” based on doing nothing because … one’s choice of candidate didn’t get nominated.

And, YES … voting WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE … and one that will be seen.

You aren’t just voting for a person. You are voting for open … or … closed borders. You are voting for continued usurpation and overspending of this government … or … stopping usurpation and overspending.

You are voting for a continuing racial division in this country … or … bringing people together, through conversations based on their love for this country, personal respect for each other, and a drive to bring back jobs and better education for all.

You are voting for elevating the risk for terrorism in this country … by bringing more immigrants into this country, who are not properly vetted. Or, you are voting for common sense in the fight against Islamic Radical Terrorism.

You are voting for more gun control, making it more difficult for innocent, law-abiding people to take protect their families … or … the enforcement of the gun laws already on the books and the preservation of our 2nd amendment.

You are voting for who will be the next confirmed Supreme Court Justice (Perhaps as many as three) and future landmark rulings.

You are not just voting for a person. You are voting for what that person will do once in office.

Never has the difference in policies been so different. Never has the sanctity of our Bill of Rights and our U.S. Constitution, our economy, our education, our future … our country … been on the line as it is now.

I may not agree with your choice, but to not vote at all is letting down every man and women who has fought for the very right to vote.

No, simply because you don’t like the candidates who are running … two very different fates are in the hands of the winner in November. And, you will help to seal that fate.

You are NOT just voting for Hillary R. Clinton or Donald J. Trump. You are voting for the Republic of America … or not.

Feeling Blue and Seeing Red Because Hillary Clinton Won’t Be Wearing Orange

So, here’s my thought on the decision of F.B.I. Director Comey.  While he did confirm that she had lied about some classified info in her email, and that she was grossly negligent (this should have gotten her the indictment, but didn’t), and that she is extremely careless … according to him … it was at his “discretion” not … to indict her.  I am as mad as everyone (who cares about this country).  But after I calmed down, I stopped to consider the ramifications if she was indicted.

Yes, she would have to step out of the election and then there would be more taxpayer money spent on her trial. So, the only good I see in her indictment is that she would not have been able to run for the Presidency. And, some would have felt … vindicated.  Perhaps, some of our “faith” in the government process would have been vindicated.  Perhaps.

I actually think that this decision … in the long run … will work in favor of those who oppose her, and want Trump to win this election.

If she stepped down now, there is a very good chance that “Uncle” Joe Biden would have stepped in.  There is also the chance that Elizabeth Warren might have been selected as V.P.

While “Uncle” Joe is considered by some as a likeable “bungler” of sorts, he does not carry the decades-long baggage of Hillary Clinton.  Elizabeth Warren echoes many of the same sentiments as Bernie Sanders and would have gotten the vote from the Sanders people who may have voted for Trump out of sheer hatred for H. Clinton.

I frankly believe that Donald Trump has a better chance of beating Hillary than he would a Biden/Warren ticket.  We would then have a third term of Obama, and … we could say “bye-bye” to our Republic of America.

So, does the “Comey decision” make many people angry and confirm our distrust of our government officials?  I would say it absolutely does.  I believe that the “fix” was in.  I believe this decision was based on bribes, greed and corruption.  I believe that the F.B.I Director was wrong.  I believe that AG Loretta Lynch will remember, fondly, her “chance meeting” with Bill Clinton.

However … I also believe if the American people will make sure that Hillary Clinton’s scandals … all of them … are brought to the forefront of the general election … and kept there, and that if we NEVER say … “it’s time to move on” … that we can continue to chip away at the corrupt, soulless, character of this vile, contemptible woman … and Donald Trump can win this election.

Then, and only then, will we have the opportunity to bring back the values that once made this country great.  I sincerely believe that the odds for Trump to beat Hillary Clinton just went up.

So, while many of us are feeling blue and seeing red, because Hillary Clinton won’t be wearing orange … this may actually turn out to be what wins Trump the election in November.

TRUMP UNIVERSITY: THE CANDIDATE WHO REALLY FAILED-AND IT’S NOT TRUMP

One of my newest Twitter friends was gracious enough to send me the email she got from the Cruz camp, this last week. I asked her to send it to me, because I had gotten the same e-mail.

Unfortunately, my email got deleted with the other 136 emails I deleted that day. She will remain nameless, unless she sees this and would like to volunteer her name. I thank her for sending it to me.

This goes to the treachery, the lies and the deceit of the Establishment and to Trump’s opposing candidates, specifically, in this case, Ted Cruz … and to the downright cheesy tricks the Cruz Camp pulls.

The Cruz camp fails to say that Trump, at the last debate, handed the moderators his faxed rating of an “A” that the BBB gave this training … the current rating … just before the debate ended, and, in plenty of time for them to make that announcement.

As far as the suit, itself, this is a case, where the individuals had the opportunity to take a specific course … and made the decision to invest in their future. Some were very successful. Some failed miserably. All took the same course. Those who failed, decided to blame someone other than themselves and decided to participate in another investment … taking part in a law suit against Donald Trump. End of story.

As far as Trump not attending CPAC, I would ask my readers; if you had a choice to attend a family reunion where you know that people will attack you, boo you, and walk out of the room, or attend a party that welcomes you with open arms, respect what you have to say, and wants to hear more of what you say … seriously … what would you do?

And, with Donald’s lead in the race, thus far, he doesn’t need CPAC. He does, however, need to be in Florida, as this is a most important future win for Trump. In my opinion, he is telling CPAC (the GOP Establishment), that he does not play by their rules. And this, is actually what it will take to make America great … and … a Republic, once more.

In fact, Cruz is the failure here … and, the one who is showing the true culture of the Cruz Camp. That culture is filled with hypocrisy, lies, and dirty tricks. I am not sure why anyone would consider this man a true Christian, based on his actions, throughout this campaign, thus far.

And, in the case of sending the cheesy letter, misrepresenting Trump and the Trump University, the one who failed … and truly failed miserably … was Ted Cruz.

The cheesy letter Cruz is sending out is below:

IS CRUZ SET TO DO THE REMAKE OF ELMER GANTRY?

True, Rick Tyler is a smug, over-confident, nasty, no holds-barred communications adviser (now, at least for the moment … former adviser), in my opinion. But, was he really a scapegoat, taking the fall, so that Cruz can try to save his campaign under the guise (again, in my opinion) of being a Conservative Christian?

I believe that Cruz allowed all of the dirty tricks … the voter violation letter, the communication that Carson had left the race, the phony robo calls stating that Marco had left, even some that were claiming to be from Marco, in Spanish, the ad with Marco shaking hands with Obama, and now the video with the edited audio showing Rubio disrespecting the bible. And these are the tricks the American people know about.

Was Rick (eager to do whatever to win) set up to do as much damage as possible before getting caught … and then used as collateral damage, in Cruz’s “clean up” spin.

Or … are we really seeing the real Cruz coming out, little by little … and is this a glimpse of why people, working closely with him in Washington D.C., don’t like him?

It seems to me that the firing of Rick Tyler today was not the end of the shady and underhand tricks by Cruz and his campaign staffers … but, the beginning of the crack inside the campaign culture of Ted Cruz … that is beginning to make him look more like Burt Lancaster in the old 1960’s movie, Elmer Gantry. (Great movie if you haven’t seen it)
