KNOW SOMEONE WHO FITS THIS PROFILE?

According to www.childpredators.com:

When compared to girls who are sexually active with boys near their own age, these girls (those who have been sexually abused) are more likely to:

  • have multiple sex partners
  • drop out of school
  • engage in dangerous sexual behaviors
  • become pregnant
  • run away from home
  • be lured into prostitution
  • abuse drugs or alcohol
  • end up on welfare
  • be estranged from friends and family
  • be in physically abusive relationships
  • become divorced

Trust me when I say … I didn’t need to double-check these statics.  There will be women who read this, and know how true this is.  This is the profile for young girls who have been sexually abused.  Anyone you recognize?  If so … reach out to them.

Or … we can, as parents … sit down with our children … as soon as possible … and, talk with them about child predators. We can, as parents … let them know that no one has a right to touch them in private areas.  We can, as parents … let them know we are there for them … we love them … we support them … and … that … they CAN “tell someone.”  We can stop this … before it begins.

“Together, we are pulling out the weeds!”

OBAMA SANCTIONS; TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE, SO HYPOCRITICAL

I am no fan of Putin (although he did make Obama look like a wus), and I do agree that there are, more than likely, many reason for sanctions against Russia. But … as far as Russia interfering with this election … where is the proof? In the eight years that Obama has had to retaliate against Russia … he chooses now … and … something with no concrete evidence? (And, really … the “sanctions” are pretty lame.) Actually, about as lame as Obama telling Putin to, “Cut it out.” (How embarrassing.)

Where is the proof that Russia is responsible for the hacking during the election?

Julian Assange has said it was NOT Russia.

Now, for those that are saying why believe Assange? Because, if you have posted in support, and believed everything else that Assange has said, previously … then, wouldn’t it be hypocritical, and shortsighted, to not believe Assange, concerning this? Maybe we could call that … “convenient faith.”

And … here’s the hypocritical part (really So “Obama”) Seriously Obama, it is beneath other countries to “interfere” with a country’s election?? Seriously? Am I the only one who remembers Israel’s 2015 election … and Obama’s interference?

The Flag Was Never Just A Piece Of Cloth To Me

I was Navy. The American flag was never just a piece of cloth to me.  It is one of our most cherished national symbols. Let’s don’t confuse this symbol with a “symbol” representing a football team or a chicken franchise.

The red and white stars represent the thirteen original colonies.  Those …. Colonies … were built by the blood, the sweat and the strife of real men and women, facing unknown dangers, starvation, and separations from friends and family, left behind, in other countries.

The blue canton represents “unity.”  It stands for the unity of people coming together to create this great Republic, and swearing allegiance as one nation under God, with liberty and justice for all Americans.  And, before any one jumps on the “for all Americans” thing, I am referring to when this flag was created and updated to symbolize all 50 states.  I am not talking about the “Pledge of Allegiance, “when, and why the word America …was added.  Let’s stay focused.

The stars represent each state in the Republic of America.  The stars don’t just represent a specific state.  They again … represent all the brave men and women who fought (and those who died) for state sovereignty and to be recognized as a part of this great nation.

I watch people, who have been given more opportunity to do something with their lives than in any other country, chant hate slogans and burn the flag … and, it sickens me.

I watch people who claim to be historians, Constitutionalists, and political authoritarians … smile condescendingly … while reminding viewers and listeners that this is one of those “unalienable rights” of all Americans.

But, there is one word that keeps being kept out of the conversation … and, that is … responsibility.  With rights, come responsibilities.  It is the responsibility of respecting the rights … and feelings … of others, as well as our own.

It is the responsibility of honoring those who have come before us and who have fought and died to preserve the very rights that, so many abuse, today.

Our American Flag has been carried from battleground to battleground in the fight for our liberty and our freedoms, as a country, and, in protecting others.  While it was sometimes torn and shredded, somewhat … it prevailed.

Our American Flag is a symbol of our American history and it is a declaration of all that we have had to fight for, endure, and overcome.

That symbol should not be trivialized to mean nothing more than a “piece of cloth” or a cell-phone symbol.

The American Flag is a symbol which represents the very heart and soul of everything that is America, the good and the ugly.  It represents and honors the good men and women who have fought bravely to preserve our rights and freedoms.  It represents the pain, the heartache, the tears, the sacrifices, and the deaths of real people who helped to make, and preserve our Republic of America.

The events that have framed America … the people that lived and died for this country … are now a part of history.  They are no longer with us.  But … our American Flag is still here.  She is still waving in honor of those people and as a reminder of all that is America.

No, the American Flag is NOT just a piece of cloth, as some say.  It symbolizes the very soul of America, it is the history of America … and it is a constant reminder of the glory and the greatness that America can be for future generations.  Our flag should be revered and honored, not ripped apart and burned.  One has that right, to be sure … but with that right, comes responsibility, and the duty of respect … for the very object … that symbolizes that right.

WHAT YOU ARE REALLY VOTING FOR THIS YEAR

I am surprised at some of the people who say they aren’t voting for either candidate, in November. Some think that it “sends a message” to the government, and some feel that, somehow … it cancels out another vote (note sure about the math with this one) and some say that it will not make a difference.

I think that if you just set there … and you don’t vote … you don’t do anything, but complain in social media or to each other … how do you feel this is actually sending a message to anyone that is really pertinent in government, or that it will lead to change? Frankly, I think you are letting the government off the hook and you are “complying” … not … “sending a message.” If you are actually doing the math, it isn’t staying home that counts … it’s actually voting.

And … YES, votes do count and that is what sends the message to the government. Not a temper tantrum or some kind of misguided sense of “superiority of character and what’s best for this country,” based on doing nothing because … one’s choice of candidate didn’t get nominated.

And, YES … voting WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE … and one that will be seen.

You aren’t just voting for a person. You are voting for open … or … closed borders. You are voting for continued usurpation and overspending of this government … or … stopping usurpation and overspending.

You are voting for a continuing racial division in this country … or … bringing people together, through conversations based on their love for this country, personal respect for each other, and a drive to bring back jobs and better education for all.

You are voting for elevating the risk for terrorism in this country … by bringing more immigrants into this country, who are not properly vetted. Or, you are voting for common sense in the fight against Islamic Radical Terrorism.

You are voting for more gun control, making it more difficult for innocent, law-abiding people to take protect their families … or … the enforcement of the gun laws already on the books and the preservation of our 2nd amendment.

You are voting for who will be the next confirmed Supreme Court Justice (Perhaps as many as three) and future landmark rulings.

You are not just voting for a person. You are voting for what that person will do once in office.

Never has the difference in policies been so different. Never has the sanctity of our Bill of Rights and our U.S. Constitution, our economy, our education, our future … our country … been on the line as it is now.

I may not agree with your choice, but to not vote at all is letting down every man and women who has fought for the very right to vote.

No, simply because you don’t like the candidates who are running … two very different fates are in the hands of the winner in November. And, you will help to seal that fate.

You are NOT just voting for Hillary R. Clinton or Donald J. Trump. You are voting for the Republic of America … or not.
